This episode we’re speaking with Sarah Cottingham. Sarah is a former teacher and experienced teacher educator. She has an MA in Educational Neuroscience and translates research on memory and learning into potential practical implications for teachers. She also works with schools and organisations on how to train staff most effectively. Sarah is the author of ‘Ausubel's Meaningful Learning in Action‘ which accessibly explains Ausubel's powerful learning theory and how to harness its benefits to support learning, and is the topic of today’s conversation.

I think that this will be one of the more impactful episodes of the ERRR podcast for many listeners because it really gets to the heart of our day to day task by asking the fundamental question, ‘What is learning and how does it happen?’ Sarah has done a phenomenal amount of work deconstructing the dense prose and complex terminology of David Ausubel and making it accessible to mere mortals like us.

There is an absolute shedload of wisdom packed in to this episode and I’m very, very confident that you’re going to love listening to it as much as I loved this conversation!
